Abstract

The research problem was the maintenance of balance among players during the performance of motor skills, which poses a significant obstacle to scoring points. The aim of the research was to prepare specific exercises using weighted footgear and to identify their impact on improving balance during kicking for Taekwondo players. The researchers used the experimental method, and the research sample consisted of 18 players divided equally into two groups: experimental and control. The exercises were applied for six weeks, with three training sessions per week. The training included kicking performance exercises using sand weights and iron filings weights. The results showed an improvement in balance among the research sample members, and the researchers recommended the necessity of incorporating weighted training into the training curricula for Taekwondo.
