The extent of sports media coverage of the King Abdullah II Award for Physical Fitness from the perspective of physical education teachers.

The study aimed to identify the extent of sports media coverage of the King Abdullah II Award for Physical Fitness from the perspective of physical education teachers. The descriptive survey method was relied upon through the use of a questionnaire as a means of data collection, consisting of (40) items distributed across (4) main areas: the field of media reality, the educational field, the health field, and the social field. The study was conducted on a sample of (222) physical education teachers. The results showed that the opinions of physical education teachers regarding the extent of sports media coverage of the King Abdullah II Award for Physical Fitness were average. The results also indicated the presence of statistically significant differences at the significance level.Between the averages of the media coverage for the King Abdullah II Award for Physical Fitness according to the gender variable, it was in favor of females. As for the school type variable, the results favored public schools. Based on these previous results, the study recommended activating the role of sports media in covering the King Abdullah II Award for Physical Fitness, by forming specialized sports media committees within schools to follow up on the stages of the award until the final qualifiers.
