The current research aims to uncover the effect of mental training, both direct and indirect, as well as the method followed by the teacher for the control group in learning the front handspring on the vault table. The researchers used the experimental method as it suits the nature of the research problem. The research sample consisted of 60 second-year students from the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the College of Basic Education, University of Mosul. They were divided into three groups (two experimental groups and one control group), with each group consisting of 20 students. The three groups were matched in the variables of age, height, weight, and intelligence.Attention spans, mental imagery in sports, and some elements of physical fitness that influence performance. The researchers used the following statistical methods: mean, standard deviation, multiple simple correlation, percentage, one-way ANOVA, paired t-test, and Least Significant Difference (LSD). The researchers concluded that the three educational plans had a positive impact on learning the front handspring on the vault table for second-year students in the Physical Education and Sports Sciences Department at the College of Basic Education, University of Mosul.
