The importance of the study lies in improving the level of weakness in some biomechanical variables that affect the performance time of the 110-meter hurdles for advanced athletes, in an attempt to achieve the best results through the integration of special physical abilities and biomechanical indicators, particularly for the runners of this event. The research problem was summarized in the fact that most training is based on physical aspects without considering the mechanical aspects. By diagnosing and identifying the weaknesses in the special strength of the event during the hurdle clearance process, which are attributed to the weakness of some mechanical aspects in the performance of the research sample, the researchers decided to determine the values of the biomechanical variables using a foot scanner to set exercises and understand their impact on some biomechanical variables specific to the hurdle step performance and the completion of the 110-meter hurdles for elite male athletes. The research hypotheses were: 1. There are statistically significant differences in the biomechanical variables in the pre- and post-tests of the research sample in favor of the post-test.
2. There are statistically significant differences in performance in the pre- and post-tests of the research sample in favor of the post-test. As for the research fields, they were as follows: Human field: Elite runners in the men's 110-meter hurdles event at the second round of the 2021 Iraqi Clubs and Institutions Championship, totaling 3 runners. Temporal field: The period from 2021/4/13 to 2021/6/23. Spatial field: The Specialized School of Athletics Stadium (Ali Hussein Stadium)/Ministry of Youth and Sports. As for the research methodology, the researchers used the experimental method, and the research sample consisted of 3 elite runners representing the 110-meter hurdles event for men in the second round of the 2021 Iraq Clubs and Institutions Championship. The most important conclusions were that the biomechanical variables studied have an impact on performance. The main recommendations were to pay attention to the biomechanical variables in conjunction with physical abilities due to their impact on performance.
