Personal traits and their relationship to success in the teaching profession for physical education and sports teachers

The study aimed to identify the most important personal traits of physical education and sports teachers associated with success in the profession of teaching physical education and sports, in order to understand the traits that lead to the success of physical education and sports teachers in their profession. The traits selected were (non-aggressiveness, non-dominance, sociability, calmness).The descriptive method was used, with a sample of 46 teachers. Physical education and sports teachers for intermediate education in Tiaret Province, Algeria, were identified as the research community. The Freiburg Personality Inventory was used as the main research tool, translated into Arabic by Mohamed Hassan Alawi and distributed as an electronic questionnaire. The study results showed that physical education and sports teachers are characterized by non-aggressiveness, non-dominance, sociability, and calmness, all of which have a positive impact on the teaching profession.
