The extent of the relationship between the COVID-19 pandemic and the demotivation of female football players in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This research aims to study the changes in the psychological state represented by motivation among athletes, particularly the impact left by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially on female football players. This will be achieved by identifying the nature of the correlation between the COVID-19 pandemic and the extent of motivation decline among female football players in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and revealing the level of motivation trait before and after the quarantine period of the COVID-19 pandemic among the research sample members. The descriptive method was used, and the research sample consisted of 30 female football players in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, selected randomly. A questionnaire was used.The measurement consists of two axes: 1) the axis of competition motivation before the COVID-19 quarantine period, and 2) the axis of competition motivation after the COVID-19 quarantine period. The researchers reached a reliability of (0.835) and the results showed a statistical significance between competition motivation before and after the quarantine period (0.66).
