This research came under the title "Sports Media and Its Role in Raising Awareness about the COVID-19 Pandemic: An Applied Study on Sudanese Sports Media." It aims to determine whether Sudanese sports media played a role in spreading awareness about the COVID-19 pandemic through what is broadcasted and published within various sports programs and what is written in print and electronic sports press and specialized platforms. The researcher used the descriptive analytical method and employed several data collection tools in scientific research after reviewing theoretical studies and previous studies on the COVID-19 pandemic from official and unofficial websites and blogs, as well as reviewing articles and news.A preliminary questionnaire was designed and presented to a number of specialists in the field for review. After the review, the final version of the questionnaire was designed and uploaded via Google Forms, and shared on social media platforms (Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter). After reviewing the responses on the Google platform, where more than 60 users interacted and filled out the questionnaire, the analysis was extracted from the Google platform to a computer and then attached to the research. One of the most important results of the research was that the study confirmed that the contribution of sports media to raising awareness about the Corona pandemic was through publishing news and reports about the pandemic and through continuous awareness messages via sports programs. The study confirmed that the sports media's attention to the coronavirus pandemic involved allocating space in sports programs for awareness about COVID-19, which was the highest percentage among other options. The study also confirmed that the initiatives of sports journalists in raising awareness about COVID-19 appeared through journalists, columnists, articles, and editors, as well as through sports program presenters on channels and radio stations.
