Abstract

Feedback is one of the most important variables in the field of motor learning, which plays a significant role in the learning process. The means and methods of conveying information have multiplied, and their impact is effective and direct, resulting in significant advancements due to the development of modern concepts of the educational process and their connection to the cognitive and intellectual abilities of the learner. The researcher used the experimental method to identify the impact of biomechanical feedback through smartphones and motion analysis programs in teaching the handstand skill on the floor exercise mat.The study was conducted on a sample of students from the Physical Education Department at the College of Basic Education, Kermanshah University. The total sample size was (20) students, who were randomly divided into two groups: a control group and an experimental group. After conducting the pre-test, the experimental group received biomechanical feedback using a mobile device and the motion analysis program (Express Dartfish). After statistically processing the data, the study results showed significant statistical differences between the pre-test and post-test measurements in favor of the post-test for both groups, although there were differences between the two programs, which led to a noticeable improvement in performance level. The results also showed statistically significant differences in the post-test between the control and experimental groups in favor of the experimental group. The researcher concluded the effectiveness of biomechanical feedback using the mobile device and motion analysis program in teaching and developing the motor performance of the handstand skill on the floor exercise mat.
