Abstract

The research aims to:

1. Compare the degree of use of modern technology in physical education classes from the perspective of teachers in the universities of the Middle Euphrates.

2. Compare the degree of use of modern technology in physical education classes from the perspective of teachers according to some variables (gender, experience, academic qualification) in the universities of the Middle Euphrates. As for the research hypothesis:

1. There are statistically significant differences in the degree of use of modern technology in physical education and sports science classes attributed to the variables (years of experience, gender, academic qualification) in the universities of the Middle Euphrates. The research fields included: Human field: Faculty members in the universities of the Middle Euphrates (Kufa, Karbala, Al-Qadisiyyah, Babylon).

Time frame: From 24/3/2022 to 20/11/2021.

Geographical area: Universities of Al-Furat Al-Awsat (Kufa, Babylon, Karbala, Al-Qadisiyyah).

The researchers adopted the descriptive comparative method to meet the research requirements and conduct field interviews. The total research community included faculty members from the universities of Al-Furat Al-Awsat (Kufa, Karbala, Al-Qadisiyyah, Babylon) for the academic year 2021/2022. The research sample consisted of 88 faculty members from the universities of Al-Furat Al-Awsat for the same academic year, forming a percentage of 73.33%. The sample was selected randomly. According to the extracted results, the researchers reached a set of conclusions:

1. The teachers in the universities of the Middle Euphrates have a moderate degree of using modern technology in physical education and sports science classes from their perspective. 
2. There are no statistically significant differences in the degree of physical education teachers' use of modern technology in their sports education classes in the universities of the Middle Euphrates, attributed to the variable of gender. 
3. There are no statistically significant differences in the degree of physical education teachers' use of modern technology in their sports education classes in the universities of the Middle Euphrates, attributed to the variable of years of experience. 
4. There are statistically significant differences in the degree of physical education teachers' use of modern technology in their sports education classes in the universities of the Middle Euphrates, attributed to the variable of academic qualification.
