Abstract

The disability category (37CP) is one of the groups that suffer from cerebral palsy. This paralysis causes the body to be unbalanced in terms of range of motion and a slight dysfunction in the nervous system due to damage in a part of the brain, leading to an imbalance in muscle strength and brain wave activity. This affects many movements, especially in this category.  The aim of the research is as follows:

-1 Preparing special exercises to develop the strength of delta-theta waves in the brain lobes for 100-meter runners in the 37CP category.

-2Identifying the electrical activity of delta-theta wave power in 100-meter runners in the 37CP category.  As for the research hypotheses:Special exercises have a positive effect on the brain's electrical activity, specifically the delta-theta wave power, for 100-meter sprinters in the CP37 category. (CP37)  Special exercises have a positive effect on the speed and technical performance evaluation of the 100-meter sprint stages for the (37CP) category.  The researchers used the one-group experimental method with pre-test and post-test due to its suitability for the nature of the research. The research community consisted of athletes with special needs in the 37CP category. The research sample included four athletes who were selected intentionally.  The researchers concluded the following:  Special exercises have a positive role in improving the power of delta-theta waves in the post-test of 100-meter competitors in the 37CP category.Special exercises have a positive effect on improving technical performance and achievement in the stages of the 100-meter sprint in the post-test. The researchers recommend:

1. Evaluating the training process in terms of using special exercises

2. Incorporating more specialized exercises to develop the damaged part of the brain.
