Abstract

The 400-meter event has become a focal point of studies and research in the field of sports due to its need for comprehensive preparation in physical, functional, and psychological aspects, as it is influenced by various traits and abilities. There are physical abilities that effectively create a positive impact on performance continuity, such as special endurance related to distances slightly less than and slightly more than the race distance (anaerobic endurance). Therefore, the importance of the research lies in establishing correct scientific foundations to achieve progress through the use of anaerobic endurance training in developing some physical abilities and achieving a time in the 400-meter freestyle for the youth category. Upon reviewing championships of the same event, many young female athletes reach high levels using intensive training, and the body continues to perform better, which motivated the researchers.For research and investigation through the implementation of aerobic endurance training to be an important training process accessible to coaches and young female athletes specializing in the 400-meter freestyle event, and to serve as a reference for the training process in Iraq, hence the research problem arose. The research objectives include preparing aerobic endurance training to develop some physical abilities for the 400-meter freestyle event for young female athletes, and identifying the impact of aerobic endurance training on the research variables for the 400-meter freestyle event for young female athletes. The researchers used the experimental method with the design of experimental and control groups, and the research sample was determined by the intentional method, which included the athletes from Al-Zafaraniya, Al-Kahrabaa, and Al-Fatwa in Baghdad Governorate, where the endurance training was applied.Anaerobic for a duration of (8) weeks with (3) training units using the interval training method (high intensity) with the help of statistical tools. After obtaining the raw results, they were processed, and the researchers concluded that anaerobic endurance training had a significant impact on developing some physical abilities and achieving a 400-meter time for young female athletes. The researchers recommend emphasizing anaerobic endurance training and planning for this type of training when training young female athletes.
