The discus throw is an event that requires specific requirements during performance, and one of these requirements is the explosive strength of the arms. It also necessitates using the optimal technique for the event to achieve a high numerical level, which requires physical specifications that assist the students in performing this event. Therefore, the researchers decided to delve into this event. The aim of this research is to identify the relationship between the explosive strength of the arms and the numerical level in the discus throw from a standing position. This research hypothesizes the existence of a statistically significant correlation between explosive strength. For the arms and the digital level of the standing discus throw, the researchers adopted the descriptive survey method in this study. The sample consisted of second-year students from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Baghdad. The researchers conducted the tests using the medicine ball throw test and the digital level of the standing discus throw test. According to the results, statistical data analysis, and discussion of the results, a statistically significant positive correlation was found.Between the explosive strength of the arms and the digital level in the standing discus throw event, and based on the study results, the researchers made some recommendations emphasizing the necessity of focusing on training the explosive strength of the arms to align with the performance requirements and digital level of the discus throw event.
