Publication Ethics Policy
The journal adopts the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure adherence to the ethics of scientific publishing. This policy clarifies the ethical responsibilities of researchers, reviewers, and the editorial board to ensure integrity and transparency in the publication process.
Responsibility of the Researcher
- Originality and Integrity: The researcher is committed to submitting original research and ensuring it has not been previously published or submitted to other journals simultaneously.
- Adherence to Research Standards: Commitment to research ethics and scientific publishing, and submitting research according to the journal's guidelines and ethical standards.
- Citation and Documentation: Researchers must adhere to citation and documentation rules, providing a comprehensive list of references used.
- No Duplication: The research should not be submitted to more than one journal at the same time. An official rejection or approval to withdraw the research must be obtained before publishing it elsewhere.
- Consent of Co-authors: The consent of all co-authors participating in the research must be confirmed before submitting it for publication, and their names should be arranged according to their scientific contributions.
- Acknowledgment of Other Contributions: Thanks and appreciation must be given to those who contributed to the research but were not included among the authors.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Researchers must disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect the evaluation of the research.
- Originality of Research: Researchers must ensure the originality of their work and adhere to research ethics related to human and animal rights if they are included in the study.
- Avoidance of Unethical Behavior: Researchers must refrain from plagiarism, fabrication, and falsification. If an error is discovered in the published research, the researcher must inform the editorial board to correct or retract it.
- Commitment to Suggested Amendments: If reviewers request amendments to the research, it must be revised accordingly or a logical justification provided if the amendments are refused.
Responsibility of the Reviewer
- Adherence to Review Standards: Reviewers must adhere to the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) when reviewing research.
- Informing the Editorial Board in Case of Inability: Reviewers must inform the Editor-in-Chief if they are unable to review the submitted research.
- Avoidance of Personal Interests: Reviewers must avoid exploiting information obtained during the review process for personal purposes.
- Avoidance of Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers should not accept to review research where there is a conflict of interest with the author.
- Plagiarism Checking: Reviewers must ensure that the research is free from plagiarism and inform the Editor-in-Chief of any similarities with other works.
- Confidentiality: Research must be treated as confidential documents and not disclosed or discussed with others except with the Editor-in-Chief's approval.
- Integrity and Objectivity: The review process must be objective and transparent, providing supporting arguments for any recommendations.
- Adherence to Deadlines: Reviewers must adhere to the specified time frame for the review process to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
Responsibility of the Editor-in-Chief
- Selecting Appropriate Reviewers: The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for selecting suitable reviewers according to the research topic and ensuring the confidentiality of the process.
- Final Decision: The final decision to publish or not is based on the reviewers' reports, the originality of the research, and its scientific value.
- Maintaining Confidentiality: The Editor-in-Chief must maintain the confidentiality of the review process and ensure that information about reviewers or research is not disclosed.
- Handling Complaints: The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for handling authors' complaints and dealing with them objectively and transparently.
- Non-Discrimination: There must be no discrimination against authors based on gender, origin, religion, or political affiliation, ensuring equality in treatment.
