Through their continuous observation and monitoring of most football matches, the researchers found that there are differences in some biomechanical variables during high ball saves between the right and left sides of football goalkeepers. This prompted the researchers to design a device for ball projection. The aim of the research is to identify the values of some biomechanical variables in the technical performance of high ball saves from outside the penalty area for goalkeepers between the right and left sides in football, and to reveal the differences in some biomechanical variables in the technical performance of high ball saves from outside the penalty area for goalkeepers between the right and left sides. And left in football. The researchers used the descriptive method due to its suitability for the nature of the research, and the research sample was intentionally selected from the young football goalkeepers affiliated with clubs in Nineveh Governorate, totaling (6) goalkeepers, with (3) from Al-Baladiyah Club, (2) from Mosul Club, and one from Al-Hadba Club. The researchers used scientific observation and measurement methods to collect information. The research sample was filmed at Al-Baladiyah Club's field in Mosul city in the afternoon. The camera was fixed on Wednesday (2020/4/29) at three o'clock outside the penalty area, opposite the center of the goal, at a distance of (18 meters) and a height of (1.10 meters). At a speed of 75 km/h and an angle of 1 degree for ground balls and an angle of 6 degrees for high balls. The researchers found significant differences between the right and left sides during ball reception in the variables of the starting position, the distance of the first step, and the speed of the first step. The researchers recommended emphasizing the starting position and ensuring an appropriate step to gain speed and reach the ball.
