Building and codifying a test for the motor reaction of the arms and legs for soccer goalkeepers

Abstract

The goalkeeper holds a significant responsibility, and this responsibility has made him a key player on the team. Therefore, he must possess high physical and technical attributes, in addition to demonstrating courage, quick reflexes, boldness, self-confidence, intelligence, alertness, attentiveness, flexible strategic thinking, and a high level of mental focus, which facilitates his task of defending the goal. The researcher developed and standardized a motor reaction test for the arms and legs of football goalkeepers, as this test contributes to improving the motor reaction skills of goalkeepers. The research problem arose from the absence of a motor reaction test for football goalkeepers, which led the researchers to develop and standardize this test for the arms and legs.
