Abstract

The study aimed to determine the contribution of some senses of the blind and the performance of basic motor skills for the students of Al-Noor Institute in Al-Qadisiyyah, numbering (10) students aged (9-10) years, selected with consideration of the type of injury and the efficiency of the senses under study. Subsequently, the researcher hypothesized that there is no relationship between the sense of touch and the performance of some motor skills, as well as no relationship between the sense of hearing and the performance of the basic skills under study. To answer these hypotheses, the researcher used sensory performance tests (hearing test, touch test) as well as basic motor skills tests, walking test (walking 51m) and jumping test (broad jump from a standing position)., and the balance test (standing on the balls of the feet) and the throwing test (throwing a ball towards a target), after applying the tests and processing the results using the statistical package (SPSS), the researcher concluded that there is a correlation between the sense of touch in the performance of the skills (walking and throwing) with significant contribution rates, as well as a good correlation between the sense of hearing and the performance of the skill (balance) with significant contribution rates as well.
