Abstract

This study addressed the statistically significant differences in the administrative process attributed to the general characteristics of the administrators of both private and governmental sports bodies in Sudan, which were identified by gender, age, educational qualification, professional specialization, position, type of sports body, and years of work. It measured the main elements of scientific management represented in planning, organizational policies, coordination, capabilities, control, and evaluation as primary variables. The study population was defined as thirty-three respondents representing the officers of the twelve sports bodies, randomly selected from among thirty-three private sports bodies, which is the total number. For the sports federations in Khartoum State, and nineteen at the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports and the offices affiliated with it as governmental bodies. The descriptive survey method and the statistical analytical method were adopted. Data collection tools such as questionnaires, references, and documents were utilized. For data processing, the SPSS statistical program and one-way ANOVA for significance testing were used. The researchers concluded a set of results, the most important of which is that professional specializations represented in (Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, Education) respectively have a clear impact on the administrative process of the variables under study in the federations where they work, unlike those with other specializations. The same conclusion applies to administrators with high academic qualifications (Higher Diploma, Master's, PhD). ThereforeThe study recommended a set of recommendations that could help the relevant authorities in the country to develop and update the performance of these bodies, the most important of which is the necessity of paying attention to academic qualifications and building trust in human resources by developing and updating the preparation methods for administrative and technical staff, and relying on professional specializations related to the nature of the sports administrative field.
