Many psychologists and personality theorists believe that the best way to understand and deal with human values is to consider them as organized systems. The tendency towards extremism is one of the important dimensions of human personality. An individual with a high tendency towards extremism can change, adapt, and experiment under various conditions, whether coercive or non-coercive, as they accept all existing judgments, rules, and orders. The research aims to identify the tendency towards extremism among practitioners and non-practitioners of sports activities among students at Al-Mustansiriya University. The sample was selected using a stratified random distribution method.Equal. The "Tendency Towards Extremism" scale, which consists of 38 items in its final form, was adopted. The researcher extracted the research tool (validity and reliability), using content validity and construct validity, while test-retest reliability was used for the scale's stability. The reliability of the Tendency Towards Extremism scale and split-half reliability reached 0.8. Among the results reached by the researcher are: there is a tendency towards extremism among both practitioners and non-practitioners of sports activities among students at Al-Mustansiriya University, with statistically significant differences according to the variable of practitioners and non-practitioners among the students.I have come up with a set of recommendations and suggestions, including: trying to provide a safe academic environment where students can balance academic requirements with extracurricular activities, so that the need to achieve a high cumulative GPA does not exhaust all the energies of students, whether they practice sports or not, and socially isolate them. Conducting a similar study in some universities outside the Baghdad governorate.
