The research included an introduction and the importance of the study. The researchers addressed the fact that the development in the sports field is tremendous, as recent years have seen increasing interest, especially in the development of football. They have sought new methods and techniques in training players, and this development included the goalkeeper position. The focus was on the importance of auxiliary means and their impact on the basic skills of the goalkeeper. The research problem arose from the researchers' field experience and their observation of the youth football league, where they noticed goals being scored against goalkeepers due to weak motor response. This necessitated finding appropriate solutions through the preparation of special exercises.According to the auxiliary means for developing some essential skills for goalkeepers, the research fields included the human field represented by football goalkeepers, while the spatial and temporal field was the youth goal of Al-Qiwa Club at the Ministry of Youth Stadium for the sports season (2020–2021). The researchers used the experimental method with a single experimental group design with pre-test and post-test due to its suitability for the nature of the problem the researcher aims to address. The researcher also used the SPSS statistical package to process the results and obtain the research results. The researcher concluded the necessity of emphasizing the use of specific exercises with auxiliary means due to their significant impact on developing some essential skills for youth football goalkeepers.
