Evaluation of methods to motivate students to join school scout teams among physical education teachers in the city of Mosul.

The aim of the research is to identify the level of methods for motivating students to belong to school scouting teams among physical education teachers in the city of Mosul. The descriptive survey method was used, and the study sample included 87 physical education teachers from the Nineveh Education Directorate. To obtain the data, a questionnaire was designed that included three main methods: cognitive aspects, practical aspects, and motivational aspects. It was applied after meeting the scientific conditions of validity and reliability. The data were statistically processed using the arithmetic mean.And the standard deviation, percentage, Spearman-Brown equation, Guttman equation, and Cronbach's alpha. The researchers drew several conclusions, the most important of which are:
1. The use of motivational means by physical education teachers to encourage students to join school scouting teams was generally positive and at a high level.
2. Physical education teachers show a high level of interest in encouraging their students to join school scouting teams in both motivational and practical aspects, while it was at a medium level in the cognitive aspects of scouting. The researchers recommended several suggestions, including:
1. It is necessary to enhance the positive role of physical education teachers in motivating students to join school scouting teams.
2. It is necessary to introduce physical education teachers to scouting camps, training courses, educational seminars, and workshops on school scouting activities to develop their knowledge and practical experience in scouting movement.
