Abstract

This study aims to identify the level of physical activity before and during the quarantine for female students of the College of Sports Sciences at the University of Jeddah and the relationship between the level of physical activity and mental health. The researchers used the descriptive method by sending a questionnaire to the sample members, which included 147 students. The researchers constructed the questionnaire tool after making the adjustments suggested by the reviewers. In the end, the study results confirmed the validity of the proposed questions, and there are statistically significant differences in the level of physical activity among female students of the College of Sports Sciences beforeQuarantine and during quarantine were favorable for the level of physical activity before quarantine, and there was a moderate positive correlation between the decrease in physical activity and the decrease in mental health. The researchers recommended the necessity of increasing opportunities for practicing physical activity at home, and raising awareness of the importance of exercising through seminars and appropriate sports activities.
