The research problem revolves around the question of the reality of locus of control among young football players. What are their mood patterns? Is there a relationship between locus of control and mood patterns? The study aimed to develop a locus of control scale for young football players, to identify the locus of control and mood patterns of young football players, and to identify the correlation between locus of control and mood patterns of young football players. The researcher hypothesized a significant correlation between locus of control and mood patterns of young football players. The sample for the locus of control scale included 100 players representing seven youth football clubs. In the holy city of Najaf for the sports season (2021-2020), the main application sample consisted of 100 youth football clubs in Najaf. The exploratory trial sample included 10 players from the Al-Kufa Youth Football Club. The researcher will use the descriptive method with survey, correlational, and normative styles due to their suitability for the nature of the research problem. To achieve the research objectives, two tools were used: the "Mohammed Ni'ma" control location scale, which will be prepared to suit the environment and effectiveness of youth football, and the "Qasim Hamid Shakir" mood patterns scale. Both scales will then be presented to experts and specialists to determine the validity of each item, and then...The scale items were subjected to statistical analysis using (the two extreme groups and internal consistency). In light of this, some items will be excluded, resulting in the first scale containing (34) items for the control location, while the mood patterns scale contains (34) items. Subsequently, the two scales will be applied to the targeted sample of young football players. Through the use of statistical methods, the data will be processed, and the results will be reached and discussed.
