The role of sports media in improving the level of awareness among students of physical education and sports institutes in Algeria.

The topic of media has garnered the attention of many thinkers, academics, and researchers due to its role in sparking public interest in various issues and problems. Therefore, this study was initiated to identify the role of media in developing the level of perception among physical education and sports students at Hassiba Ben Bouali University. The importance of the study lies in its potential to contribute to understanding the nature of the role of media on social perception among university students. The researchers used the descriptive method as it is the most suitable research methodology for such studies. The researchers prepared a questionnaire that included three axes, with the first axis containing the primary data related to the students of the Institute of Physical Education.The first axis contains the extent of the students' follow-up at the Institute of Physical Education and Sports to Algerian sports media, and the last axis contains social perception. The researchers applied the questionnaire after ensuring its validity and reliability by calculating the validity and reliability on a sample of 219 students. After collecting and analyzing the data, it was concluded that the role of sports media in shaping and forming social perception among students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports at Hassiba Ben Bouali University. The study also provided recommendations, the most important of which are to establish mechanisms and practical strategies to confront the flood of sports media content, which is non-objective and targets the values and concepts of Algerian society, and to work on achieving sports, cultural, social, and educational satisfaction.
